Going to School Social Skills Story, A First Day of School Story

Do you have a child going to school soon?

Help prepare them for their first day of school with this printable social skills story. This can be great for children starting school for the first time or you children that are feeling nervous or need support going back to school again.

This story has short, simple sentences and colorful pictures explaining to children some of the rules and routines of starting school. It includes concepts like following rules, playing with friends, what they will learn and more.

Included is a color and black and white version of each page.

Simple prep is to cut 1/2 pages apart and staple them together in the order that makes sense for you. You can include or exclude any pages that you need.

There are also variation pages included at the end of the file for different, inclusive wording and an option about riding the bus to school and after school.
