Does your child have trouble playing independently? This social skills story works on helping children understand that they may need to play on their own sometimes and gives them ideas one what to do.

This social story has simple pictures and words to explain why grown ups may be busy and why they may need to play on their own. It explores calming strategies, ideas for independent play and points out the positive in playing on your own.

Also included is a 1 page choice board with pictures that correspond to the story, that your child or children can use to help them choose activities to do when they need to play one their own.
